Composed, performed, and produced by Quinn Mannequin. The song sets the theme for the symbolism of the band. It evokes the generic, subtle and sensitive features often displayed by store mannequins, and supposing they are sentient beings with feelings, they are crying out to be seen for who they are and not what they wear as franchising dummies. There is a symbolic connection to the virtual age we live in, where we often are seen by (and interact with) others from behind the glass of our mobile devices, often trying to get attention and wanting more connectedness in what may just be a superficial medium, and not true interactions. The mannequin is shy, vulnerable, and, well... sensitive, as many people actually are behind the virtual world in which we interact. The Afterthought LP ends with the mannequins breaking through this glass of false illusion that binds them (in the song Ceramic).
