Lyrics
I am nondescript
My face has only lips
My stature is meek
My movements oblique
The first white bishop
He's the first white bishop
The pawn to my left moved forward two spaces
All at once against my will I was drawn out
To the middle of the board to the battlefront
Before me stood a black knight
I moved diagonally to its other side
The enemy rook slid forward
On its other side stood the black king undefended
I was drawn into position and the crier called, check!
First a finger fell upon a black pawn
And then suddenly the black queen raced out
From behind enemy lines and took me out
He was the first white bishop
The first white bishop
He was the first white bishop to fall
And then a white pawn made it all the way across to the end
I was the one chosen for the upgrade
Check! I called, and then Checkmate!
For I had my own lips through which to speak
And then I moved in and toppled the opposing king
